Coming from a competitive sports background, I knew real estate would be a great fit for me because it requires the same kind of hustle, determination, and competitive edge that I’ve always had through cheerleading. I’m incredibly grateful to wake up each day passionate about what I do and surrounded by an amazing team.
I’ve always had a passion for investment real estate, dating back to high school. During college, I gained hands-on experience through an internship with a small development firm in Columbia, SC that specialized in student housing for UofSC students.
After graduating in 2025, I moved to Charlotte and took a job that ultimately didn’t provide the fulfillment I was looking for. A couple of months after leaving, my recruiter, Ryan, reached out about an opportunity as a sales agent at Canvas. I was initially hesitant, especially because the role was commission-based, but it aligned perfectly with my passion and experience. After some consideration, I decided to take the opportunity, and I haven’t looked back since.
It’s been a blessing to grow within our small but mighty office, progressing from a sales agent selling multiple houses each month to an acquisitions agent buying multiple houses each month. Investment real estate isn’t always pretty, but I’m grateful to be doing work I’m passionate about.
